Hi there! ^^
On this thread, feel free to talk about any PvP you wish, whether it be kill-steals, m***acres, or just the general beat-the-crap-out-of-the-person-closest-to-you shenanigans; if it's PvP, it goes*!
You can also discuss PvP strategies, shortcuts, hidden routes, or scores, no matter what server or what mode you play.
However, you may not: -Advertise your server/a friends server or any server at all; please do that in the "Your Favorite Servers" thread. -Be rude, mean, or degrading to any member here. -Jabber on about other Minecraft Gaming Styles, I.e. A Creative Plot that you just bult, etc.
*Please note that Survival Games is a PvP style; you may talk about that here. c:

Ha! xP That was me two years ago, flailing about with a diamond hoe. cx
One tip is to always get the first hit; it increases the 'fear factor' in the other person, making them prone to mistakes or hesitation, and gives you leverage if your health was also at full. And if your health wasn't at full, a first hit might work as a bluff, and have the other back off for the time being. However, if you are placed in a highly combat active environment with something on the line -I.e. ranks or in game money- then the other party/s might not be deterred and charge recklessly ahead. The trick there is to gauge their attack patterns (I.e. full-on charge, jump dodging, 'sweeps', disorientation, etc.)
